1.) The meeting was called to order by President Marty Hunt at 10:00 am
Officers in attendance: Marty Hunt, Rae Tober, Sue Hunt,and Richard Maloon
2.) Introduction of Mary Ellen Wason of the Deerfield Historical Society.
Ms. Wason discussed Deerfield's cemetery database and documentation available for researchers.
3.) The treasurer reported a balance as of May 1, 2017 of $6,926.40 (audited)
4.) Old Business
The NHOGA executive board is analyzing SB 132. Suggest NHOGA keep on top of this and report next May 2018
Website update is ongoing by Joshua Segal, CCINSPIRE is still providing free hosting.
5.) New Business, other
A discussion of the Northern Pass impact on the Clarksville Cemetery was held.
Alton has found some interesting artifacts at a remote site on an Island.
Members asked about the upkeep of private graveyards and a discussion followed.
The published Preservation handbook booklet is $10 and some felt rather than printing a new booklet , we make available a "copy" available for $3.00.
A slave burial ground in Portsmouth has been in the news recently and it was felt we should look into putting something on our website.
Hands on workshop scheduled for Durham.
After Lunch the Deerfield Historical Society gave a tour of the Parade Cemetery.
